Dr. James Z. Liu, Co-Inventor, Co-Founder, Chief Scientific Officer, and Chairman
Dr. James Z. Liu, MD, PhD, is a physician-scientist and innovator in translational medicine and emerging therapeutic technologies.
He earned his Doctor of Medicine from Shandong University School of Medicine and his PhD from Pennsylvania State University. Earlier in his career, Dr. Liu led clinical studies within top global pharmaceutical companies, contributing to the successful development and FDA approval of multiple therapeutics.
As a co-inventor of biophoton-generating platform technology, he now leads three organizations: advancing biophoton wellness solutions at Tesla BioHealing, promoting research and education at the Academy of Biophoton Quantum Medicine within the First Institute of All Medicines, and directing therapeutic programs at Brain Healing to address unmet medical conditions through innovative, non-pharmacologic approaches.
Dr. Liu is also the author of The Bio-Dao Code, a work dedicated to promoting life-centered principles and fostering international peace.

Ms. Helen Y. Gu, Co-Inventor, Co-Founder, Chief Financial Officer, and President
Ms. Helen Y. Gu, MBA, is a business leader and strategic operations executive with a strong focus on advancing innovative healthcare technologies.
She earned her Master of Business Administration from Rutgers University, where she developed expertise in finance, operations, and healthcare management.
Ms. Gu has been instrumental in managing business operations and securing financial support for clinical research programs evaluating biophoton-based therapies. Her work supports studies targeting a range of unmet medical conditions, including chronic stroke, traumatic brain injury, Parkinson’s disease, Alzheimer’s disease, Lyme disease, and regenerative applications such as stem cell therapy.
At Brain Healing, she plays a key role in aligning operational execution with clinical and translational research goals.
